Family Pictures

Thank you so much Brooke for taking our family pictures! Last year Gilbert's mom kept begging us for a family picture for her wall. We never followed through with her request so this year we decided on the spur of the moment to get it done. Thanks to Brooke she didn't mind us calling just before we went to her house. She didn't dare leave her kids so we just went outside right by her house and snapped a few. I told her the only request I had was to get one with all three of us in it, and with Gilbert and I together. It seems like Gilbert and I are never together in pictures anymore because one of us is always taking the picture and we are always with Andrew. Brooke did an awesome job! They turned out way better than I had expected.
You almost can't even tell we are in the snow. It just looks like a white backdrop, until you look at my shoe.
We tried getting Andrew in this one with us but he got really mad at us when we tried to make him lay down in the snow.

Way to go Babe!

Gilbert is done with the semester!!! Only one more to go. :) I can't wait. I know life will only get busier but we all need things to look forward to right? I am so proud of Gilbert doing so well in all of his classes. He worked so hard and it has all paid off. Who knows where we will be this time next year. I don't ever want to leave Logan but who knows what life will bring.

If you live in Logan read at your own risk....

I hope Relief Society attendance doesn't go down for posting this, ;) but I am a BYU fan all the way. Utah State then comes second. I do love the Aggies (especially because that is what my 2 year old niece calls me.... Auntie Aggie) but this was a couple Saturdays ago when BYU played Utah. It all started when Gilbert and I were dating and we watched the BYU/ Utah game. He is all red and I am all blue. During the game this year we happened to be down at my parents house visiting for Thanksgiving. Both of my sisters were there and Lori was painting things on her kids faces to show their team spirit. Lots of her husbands family has played for BYU so obviously they would have lots of team spirit. Anyway I thought it would be fun to show a little of my own team spirit just for Gilbert. ;) It was even better when they won. Gilbert really enjoyed the big kiss I gave him at the end of the game. Now that we have moved to Logan we now have a team we can be fans of together. Go Aggies! (I will always be a BYU fan first though.) :) I love you Gilbert!

Goals

I have made a new goal to post something everyday on my blog. I think it will be a good way to keep a journal of the everyday things that get missed. I know that by small things great things come to pass so I hope through this I will be able to keep track of the small things to better recognize how life changes. I love the gospel, family, and friends and altogether life. I hope everyday I can remember something good from these favorite things of mine. I know I take things for granted a lot so maybe this will help me do better.

Thank You!

I am sending out a big thank you to Gilbert and Brooke for making a bad day such a good one. I wish I could say I never have any of those bad emotional hormonal days but I do. Thank you for putting up with me.

Gilbert's Race

Gilbert use to run in high school and he ran a couple races at UVSC, but he hasn't ran in a long time. My friend Brooke has really gotten into running and motivates me to go with her. She always informs me of the next upcoming race. I haven't ever done one and maybe someday I will, but Gilbert suddenly decided he needed to get in better shape so he would run the Turkey Trot in Smithfield. He signed up and then came down with the flu. He was determined to not waste the money so he ran in the race anyway. It was a 5k and he did really well. I was so impressed he did so well after not training before, and being sick. He came in 6th overall and 3rd in his age group. He got a little ribbon. I wish I could just up and run three miles one day. Andrew and I were his fan club. It was snowing and we were freezing! We are so proud of Daddy for doing so well. (Brooke you did so awesome too, and maybe someday I will actually run in a race with you. I really admire how well you have stuck with it. Maybe some day I can be like you. ;) This is Gilbert and Andrew waiting to check in before the race.
Here is Gilbert and Andrew right after Gilbert came through the finish line. Way to go Daddy!

Brooke I would have posted the picture of you and I but I was afraid of being called Ginormica. Oh wait that has already happened.....

Andrew's latest obsession

He doesn't ever color with them he just loves to take them out of the box throw them on the floor from the barstool get down pick them up put them back into the box and then repeat. He does this for hours and hours. If I try to get him down before he is finished he gets really mad. I never thought my best babysitter would be a box of crayons. I bet you can't guess what Santa's bringing him this year.
