Thank You!!

This is a quick post to all the wonderful people in my life. (If you are reading this, I am sure it includes you.) I was just thinking how blessed I am to know such amazing people. I know it probably sounds corny, but seriously I want to say thank you to you all for helping me become a better person. I truly am soooo blessed! :)

My Clever Little Boy

I was cleaning the kitchen while Andrew was playing in the front room. It was pretty quiet for a while so I went to check on him.... I don't know why but he is obsessed with lamp shades. He was doing everything he could to get to it. He is a clever little boy! Good thing I caught him in time or he could have gotten really hurt. He was to the point where he could barely touch the lamp shade and make it swing back and forth. He is getting too smart for me.
Here is my little Roo boy at 10 months old. He LOVES to feed himself! If I give him a spoon to play with while I feed him he will never take his spoon out of his mouth so that I can get mine in with actual food on it. He is in this fake laughing kick. When he wants attention, he just laughs this made up laugh and it makes me laugh every time. He's got me wrapped around his little finger.

My little boy is growing up way too fast!

Andrew took his first step two days ago. It was on February 17th. He will usually stand up all by himself, but he has never wanted to take a step forward until now. He will only take one step and then lunge for whatever it is he wants. Technically I can't say he is walking, but he is getting very close. I am not going to push him at all because I really like him just crawling. I can only imagine all the new things he will be getting into when he starts walking. AGHHHH!! I wish he would stay my little boy forever.

Just a little update...

Andrew did get worse so I took him into the doctor on Tuesday. He has a sinus infection and the doctor was so worried that his cough was sooo full of mucus that it could turn into something really bad. We got an antibiotic for his infection and a steroid for his cough to help open his airways. (Tuesday morning he woke up coughing so bad he couldn't breathe.) I got worried about it so that is why I finally took him in. It is a good thing because it has only been two days and he is doing a world times better. I am so glad he was a happy baby through it all. He hates taking his medicine though. I wish that was a little easier but we are almost done with it anyway. :)

I think Andrew has the flu.....

Andrew got sick yesterday. This is the first time he has ever gotten sick. I know I don't have anything to complain about, but it makes me so sad to see him in so much pain. Yesterday morning he woke up screaming. He spent pretty much the whole day sobbing while I held him and rocked him. He wouldn't eat anything. The thing that broke my heart the most is that he would just rock back and forth like he was in so much pain, but he wouldn't crawl or walk or go anywhere. He would just lay down and rock back and forth as he sobbed. I took his temperature and it was 100.9, so it wasn't that bad. I gave him some tylenol, and then Gilbert gave him a blessing with Aaron Geary when he got home from school. We finally got him to go to bed last night around 10:00 and he slept all the way until 8:30 this morning. I was so happy that he slept so well. When he woke up he was acting sooo much better. He would crawl all over the place like normal and follow me everywhere. He has given me smiles all day and tried to be happy. He has a really deep cough that makes him cry every time he coughs, and when he talks his voice sounds like he has a frog in his throat. Besides that he seemed to being doing rather well until tonight he started acting really whiny again. We took his temperature again and this time it was 101.8. I hope that doesn't mean it is getting worse. The blessing Gilbert gave him has helped a lot. I am so blessed to have such a happy boy all the time. I hope tomorrow he will be feeling a lot better, so that I won't have to take him into the doctor.

Andrew's favorite place in the whole house!

Andrew loves the bathroom! I don't know if it is because his bath is his favorite time of the day or if it is because we never let him go in there. Either way it is so hard to always keep him out of there. We let him play in the front room downstairs with a lot of toys, and before we knew it, he was already all the way up the stairs and into the bathroom. I am so glad he didn't think twice and try to go back down the stairs. His mind is always for the bathroom. Whenever he gets in there he heads straight for the bathtub, stands up, and starts yelling and slapping the side of the tub. He loves it! I am just so glad he doesn't head for the toilet, or the garbage.
I wanted to be a good wife and start making Gilbert breakfast more often before he leaves for school. I decided to make some German Pancakes and when I opened the oven to take them out, I was blown away. They filled the entire inside of the oven. I tried to grab a camera quick but by the time I found it they had already fallen a lot so this is what you get. I have made them many times before and had them get pretty big but seriously they filled the ENTIRE inside of the oven. They went all the way to the top. They still turned out really good. I don't think you can ever go wrong with german pancakes.

They're Back!!!

I COULD NEVER LIVE WITHOUT THEM!!!

Gilbert's nephew Benny got baptized last Saturday, and he really wanted Gilbert to be there. I had to teach in relief society so I couldn't have Andrew with me at church. Gilbert thought it would be a great idea to just take Andrew with him. I hated the idea, but as soon as it entered Gilbert's head there was no changing his mind. I can honestly say that that will never happen again if I have any thing to do with it.  I now know I would way rather have Andrew with me to run all my errands, and everything else I always thought would be better without him. It's not better! I missed him way too much. Thank you to my good friend Brooke who saved my life! She let me stay at her house pretty much the whole time they were gone so that I didn't go insane. Thanks Brooke and Aaron!
