Cravings and cards...

The other night Gilbert got in the mood to eat a green salad but he wanted it to be just like the ones at Texas Roadhouse so he boiled an egg to put on it. I thought he was so weird to just boil one egg for a salad.
After he made his salad it looked so good that I suddenly got the craving for deviled eggs. It was 11:30 at night and I couldn't get the craving to go away so I asked Gilbert if he would make them with me. Being the cute husband that he is of course he said yes. Both Gilbert and I have never boiled an egg before (just because we never eat them) so it was so funny to me that we were making them so late at night. Andrew has never eaten them before and he loved the yellow part. We couldn't really get him to eat the white. I think the texture bugged him.

I have been having some funny cravings lately. Gilbert made this kind of chicken one Sunday for dinner just being creative and I loved it. Now I crave it all the time. The whole first trimester chicken made me sick and now I crave it all the time. Last week we got home really late. When we came inside I got the craving for that chicken again so I begged Gilbert to make it for me even though is was almost midnight. He willingly made it for me and I loved it. He spoils me. I have also been craving chocolate, fruit, cooked veggies, anything I can eat with catsup (which is weird because I don't usually like catsup) mostly homemade fries, and peanut butter.
A couple Sundays ago we went and visited my Uncle Kimble. They fed us dinner and then we played games. We learned a new game from them called SLAPS, and it is so fun. You can play with as many players as you want. Gilbert and I now play it all the time and have an ongoing challenge who can win. Andrew has gotten so excited about it that he now asks me to play cards with him everyday. Two of our favorite things to do lately are snuggle in blankets on the couch, and play cards. :)

Your boys are so sweet together! Andrew would balance things out well at our house. Boiled eggs are one of Bennion and Nini's favorites, but they only like the white part. They hate the yolk.

I love that you are posting about your cravings. You are much better at documenting your pregnancy than me. So, the deviled egg story is funny. I love deviled eggs, I really should make them more often. My kids would eat a whole dozen boiled eggs in one sitting if I let them. They LOVE them and beg me to boil them all the time. So bring Andrew over for boiled eggs and he will love them in no time.
