To my Mom.....

I just want to say thank you to my mom today. Now that I kind of know what having babies is all about I don't know how she did it eleven times. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be pregnant or nursing for eighteen years straight. With no breaks. What a WONDER WOMAN!!  Mom, 23 years ago today you were in a lot of pain just for me. I could never tell you thank you enough for all that you did that day and continue to do through my whole life. You never cease to amaze me. You are the most wonderful mom in the whole world! I love you so much! THANK YOU!!!

Andrew laughing!

Andrew woke up last night after being asleep for an hour and we couldn't resist getting him out of bed to play. He was so happy and he has never laughed like this in his life.

Andrew turned the big "1"

I made this huge poster for decorations for the party.
My good friend made Andrew's cake for me so that it was like a basketball. She is so good. I had to babysit all morning so it helped me a lot to have her make Andrew's cake. Thanks Brooke!
Andrew didn't dive right into the cake like I thought he would. Gilbert had to do a lot of prodding and I think Gilbert ate more of it than Andrew did. :) At least Andrew got a messy face for pictures.
Gilbert was so excited to get a giant fish for Andrew's birthday present. At first he didn't know what to do with it, but now he loves to suck on the tail.
Andrew's favorite toys are balls. He got lots of them for his birthday!
Gilbert's brother, Matt, his wife Amy and their three boys came up from Brigham City. Curtis, Andrew, and Ryan. Thank you so much for coming. It was so fun to have family there.
These are our home teachers the Martins, Kevin and Emily. Andrew loves it when they come to visit so I knew he would love to have them at his party. And on the left is Brooke, who made his cake, and Andrew's best little buddies, Rylie, Mason, and Bracken.
Here are the Caley's. Their littlest boy is only three weeks older than Andrew. Can you believe it? He is such a big little boy! Andrew has a lot of fun with them. Bart, Lori, Caleb, and Max.
We are such fun parents. We gave Andrew a front facing car seat for his birthday. hahaha (Can you tell we are on a budget?) He was actually really excited. The first Sunday after he turned one, I was putting him in his seat after church and he just kept laughing. I think he was so excited to be able to see me. He is so happy that he now gets to see the world.
My parents and Eric came up to see Andrew the day after his birthday. It was a really quick trip and they ended up driving a lot longer than they actually got to visit, but we LOVED getting to see them. Andrew was spoiled rotten by all those who love him! I want to say "thank you to everyone that came and helped make Andrew's day so special." And a special thanks to Melanie who made all the addicting cupcakes.

Happy Easter to everyone!

I had the wonderful oppurtunity to listen to General Conference last weekend and the thing that stuck out the very most to me was when President Thomas S. Monson said "Your future is as bright as your faith." That really rang so true to me. I have nothing to fear if I truly have faith in Jesus Christ. And however bright that faith is that I have is how bright my future is going to be. That is all that really matters.

My smart husband!

Gilbert received a scholarship and we got to go to a huge banquet dinner. It was really yummy, and you can't beat free food. :) Thanks Brooke for babysitting.

My little boy is walking!

Andrew stood up in the middle of the room all by himself and walked over to the couch. I guess you can say he can really walk now. He is still a little tipsy but he is determined to walk where he wants to go now instead of crawling. No matter how many times he falls he just gets right back up. Just for the record it was April 7, 2009, that he really walked for the first time. (not just steps)

Chain of Love

My sister-in-law, Saedi, posted this on her blog and I participated with the promise that I would keep the chain going. So here is how it works... The first five people to comment on this post will get something in the mail (or hand delivered) from me. I promise something cute, fun and homemade. The catch is that if you are one of the five to comment, you have to do a post similar on your blog. This keeps us all busy and thinking of others. Hope you decide to participate!!
